Started by naughty local lads in 1944, the act of throwing tomatoes at loved ones and neighbours has been a tradition in Buñol for over sixty years, and each year the festival gets bigger and messier. Tourists from all over the globe flock to the picturesque town in the last week of August to take part in the world’s largest traditional fruit-based food fight.
This year, La Tomatina takes place on the 31st of August, and to guarantee your place on the rowdy streets of Buñol in time for some serious fruit flinging, you’d be advised to book soon. Lyndhurst, New Forest is a lovely village and civil parish located in Hampshire, England. It is the administrative capital of the New Forest – which is well known for its pasture land, heathland and forest in south east of England.
